Pre-Inspection
Prior to cleaning we document any defects, wear and tear etc. We give you a written in-house report & quotation.
Tests For Colour Fastness
Usually done in a few hours and/or overnight to determine which method of cleaning to be used based on fibre content, delicacy and colour fastness so as to give us the best results without damaging the rug.
Dry Soil Removal
Probably the most important part of our cleaning process as 80% of soil found in a rug is dry soil and must be removed prior to cleaning.
We use a unique piece of equipment that harmonically vibrates the back of the rug to remove the dry soil. Additional vacuuming is also utilised to aid in any dry particulate soil removal. (see 10second test video)
Rug Cleaned
Using Woolsafe approved products we determine which method of cleaning will give us the best results and use one of or a combination of the following methods of cleaning. For example full submersion, encapsulation, steam cleaning, dry cleaning etc. Rugs are then sanitised and/or deodorised (pet urine and other odours). Fringes most often manufactured from wool or cotton, may be very difficult to clean however with our unique technique and special formula, fringes are restored to their original state and colour.
Rug Dried
Rugs specially dried to return to original texture and softness.
Rug Re-Inspected (and re-cleaned if necessary)
Rugs are then re-inspected, vacuumed, groomed, deodorised, and ready for delivery.
